Taking a Break Without Losing Your Buyers

Every seller needs time away at some point. A holiday, a busy month at work or simply a rest from the screen. The worry is always the same: will buyers drift away while the shop is quiet? Say when you are going and when you will be back

Buyers are patient when they know what is happening. Put a short note at the top of your shop and in your bio with the dates you are away. A clear return date turns silence into something buyers can plan around.

Ship every open order and answer every message before you go. Nothing loses a regular faster than a parcel that sits unsent while you are away.

Decide what stays open

Some sellers hide every listing. Others leave ready made items up and pause only custom requests. Choose whatever you can honour, and make sure your listings say so.

Keep your profile alive

A scheduled post or two while you are away reminds people you exist. It does not need to sell anything. A photo or a short note saying you will be back soon is enough.

Come back with something new

Your first week back is a good moment for a fresh listing or a small bundle. Tell your regulars you have returned and thank them for waiting. Many will be glad to hear from you.
