The Buyer Who Comes Back
Most sellers spend their attention on finding new buyers, which is the hardest and most expensive thing they can do. The person who has already bought from you once is a warmer prospect than anyone you will meet this month, and they usually need very little from you to buy again.
Notice them
Keep some record of who has ordered and what they took. It does not need to be elaborate, and a note on your phone is enough. Without it every repeat buyer arrives as a stranger, and they can tell, because they remember the exchange even when you do not.
Do not make them ask twice
If someone bought a particular item and you make it again, tell them before you list it. That is not pushy, it is the ordinary courtesy of a shop that knows its regulars, and it converts far better than putting it out and hoping they notice.
Let the second order be easier than the first
The first order carries all the risk for a buyer. By the second they know the parcel arrives, that it looks the way you said, and that you are not strange about payment. Do not undo that by changing how you work every few weeks. Predictability is most of the value they are buying.
Say thank you once, properly
A short line acknowledging a repeat order lands well, and it costs nothing. What does not land is a scripted message that clearly went to everyone, because a regular is exactly the person who can tell the difference.
Accept that some will stop
People move on, budgets change, and interests shift. That is not a failure of your service and it is rarely worth chasing. Chasing a buyer who has quietly stopped is how a pleasant relationship becomes an awkward one.
A shop with twenty people who buy occasionally is steadier than one with two hundred who bought once. The work is not glamorous, it is mostly remembering, and almost nobody does it.
